Public Awareness of AEDs

To address the high numbers of sudden cardiac arrest deaths in the United States each year it is vital that AEDs are readily accessible and that individuals are prepared to use them. Too few AEDs are available to the public and people are often aware of how simple they are to use.

AEDs only save lives if they are used!
It is great to see Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) popping up in the community and at schools. These lifesaving tools are easy to use and drastically improve survival rates. HOWEVER, it is important that people are prepared, willing and understand how to use these simple devices!
