University of Washington and Harborview employees that do not work with the UW-Harborview Center for Prehospital Emergency Care ARE ELIGIBLE to participate.

How do I register a team?

A:

Only one person needs to register per team.  Share login information with team members so that each person may report AEDs that count towards the team’s total AED count.

What happens if I report the same AED as another team?

A:

It does not matter which individual or team reports an AED first.  If one AED is reported by three teams, each team will be able to “count” the AED toward the team’s total AED count. If one team reports the same AED three times, the AED will be counted as one AED for that team.

How will I be notified if I locate a golden AED?

A:

The MyHeartMap Seattle research team will notify you if you are the first person, or team, to report a golden AED.

Can I report an AEDs outside of Seattle?

A:

AEDs reported outside of the Seattle city limits will not count toward a team or individual’s total.

Do AEDs in hospitals count?

A:

AEDs in hospitals and police, fire or EMS vehicles do not count.

If I find the greatest number of AEDs, when can I expect to receive the grand prize?

A:

The grand prize will be awarded after the MyHeartMap Seattle research team has validated the authenticity of reported AED locations.
